Buda, Texas
Discover Buda Masonic Lodge #800 AF&AM. A timeless fraternity dedicated to building better men, fostering community, and honoring heritage.
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest fraternal organizations, dedicated to helping men build character and serve their communities through three guiding principles.
A commitment to moral uprightness, honesty, and living a life of principled action.
A dedication to community support, relief for the distressed, and selfless giving.
A lifelong pursuit of personal growth, knowledge, and understanding.
Since our founding in 1874, what is now known as Buda Masonic Lodge #800, has been a quiet but steady pillar of this community - predating even the establishment of the City of Buda in 1881. We are more than a fraternity; we are a gathering of local men dedicated to supporting our neighbors, fostering lifelong friendships, and honoring a tradition of selfless service that stretches back generations in Buda.
Supporting Buda's Future: Funding local youth programs, scholarships, and assisting families in need.
Authentic Fellowship: Forging lifelong bonds among men of diverse backgrounds united by shared values.
Civic Dedication: Active participation in local events, standing as a reliable foundation for our hometown.

Yes, Buda Lodge #800 AF&AM is a Chartered Member of the Grand Lodge of Texas since the 1800s
The journey from initial inquiry to full membership (Master Mason) typically can take up to a year. It is a process of learning, reflection, and building relationships with the brothers of the Lodge. The journey should not be rushed, as Masonry will provide a lifetime of building.
Absolutely. While Lodge meetings are for members only, we host numerous events, dinners, and charitable activities throughout the year where spouses, children, and friends are warmly welcomed. Family is a core pillar of a Mason's life.
Freemasonry is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for one. The only religious requirement is a belief in a Supreme Being. We welcome men of all faiths, and discussions of specific religious dogma are strictly prohibited in the Lodge.
There is a one-time initiation fee when you first join, followed by annual Lodge dues, which are kept reasonable to ensure accessibility. Each degree will have a nominal cost as well. We are transparent about all costs upfront before you ever make a commitment. Please inquire directly with our Secretary for additional information.
We meet regularly once a month for stated meetings and fellowship. While regular attendance is encouraged, we believe your family and career must always come first. While you are working on your degrees, you will be expected to dedicate much of your free time to meeting with Brothers and studying. Once you have completed your degrees, your level of involvement beyond meetings is entirely up to you. Many Brothers choose to join additional Masonic bodies while continuing their memberships at their home lodge.
Our doors are open to visiting Brethren and men of good character interested in learning more about the fraternity. Join us for a shared meal, meaningful conversation, and true Masonic fellowship.
